I Need Help to Learn

Tuesday, a week ago,I got a call from my brother who is a website development coordinator. He told me about an internet cafe that just opened a few blocks from his work. He walked into the place yesterday and talked with the owner for a little while and left very satisfied at what he learned about this new business, thinking this would be a great place after work to meet his co-workers and unwind from their work day.

I was thinking the entire conversation, sure it will be just like all of you never left work, but of course I didn't say that... Anyway, he went on to tell me his boss called him into his office this morning and said they had a new client and he would head up the account. Well, it was this new businessthat had just opened up right up the street. The internet cafe owner had called; Rodney had just met the day before. He was to select a team of web designer artistsand work with the client to make him the website he envisioned. I listened to him go on and on about website development and the new Web Designer they just hired. I told him I was happy for him and to let me know how this new business account worked out for him.

I notice how the web designer has changed the main page of my internet provider, and think to myselfI will tell Rodney about it next time we sit down together or in a chat room next week. That is about all I can contribute to his conversations about his work this week. He has opened my eyes to what I can find on the information highway. It does fascinate me sometimes how they achieve all they do. The information highway is a great place for us to compare what we see when we talk to each other, it helps us understand what each of us are talking about.

The next week, just like clockwork we are chatting on the information highway, and he's sitting in an Internet Cafe he helped create a website for. Life is sweet!
