What happened to the times when there were good old fashioned typewriters? I bet a much younger person would not even be aware what a typewriter was. I was sick of being hounded for my email address and even though I did not know what it was i did some investigating. So I had decided to get with the times and purchased myself a computer. It took a while to figure out how to turn the thing on, I had my young nephew come around to show me.
I am beginning to become a whizz at it, the internet it is a marvellous place. I have caught up with many friends I thought that I had lost along the way. Every morning I wake to find an email from a good friend of mine, and though post was the more conventional manner I am certainly siding towards electronic mail.
Every day I am going from web site to web site astounded by the information I am learning from this. Who would have thought you could view the whole world through a tiny application named internet explorer. As I started getting more and more advanced I went and took some classes to learn about the different applications used on the computer such as Microsoft office and I a short web site design course as well which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I caught a few viruses along the way but that was a part learning for me, one came down through Internet explorer and it crippled my whole system that I had to get a technician out to come and fix it. I gathered up the courage to finally throw away my old typewriter, it was in a major need of retirement. Now if i misspell a word I only have to push the backspace button and it instantly is erased, before that you would have to use white out or just type over it again.
You are never too old too learn new things, I am happy that I have finally found out what all the hype is about over internet explorer, the net and email. The last thing on my list - I have just enrolled in a webdesign course.
