I truly love to surf the web. I sign in to my eBay account every day, both selling and buying on-line. I am a real eBay addict, but have recently been looking around at other places which are good for buying on-line. I have found some great places to buy clothes and kids toys at good prices, but for selling my own things, I will stick to eBay, as I have been using the site for 2 years and have built up a reputation as a trustworthy seller, and I wouldn't want to have to learn to use another site.

I also like to surf the web to find competitions, free games which pay real money if you win, and any kind of work to bring in a little extra pocket money, as I am a full time mother and don't currently have a personal income. I looked into website development, thinking I could make a career from that, but it was all too complicated for me! I tried to set up an online shop too, but I need to save some money to put into the business before I can really get it up and running, so that's been put on hold for a while.

Competition sites are fun, but so far all I've won is a holiday which I couldn't claim, as the company said my income wasn't high enough - they planned to try to sell me a timeshare. The problem is, these type of sites, which require you to enter your contact details, often give out your email address, home addressand phone number, resulting in spam email, unwanted telesales calls, and even spam through your letter box. I try to read all the small print before I give my details out nowadays.

You do need to be careful when you surf the web for anything really, as many sites will add tracking cookies to your computer, and also anyone who gets hold of your email address through any of these sites can then send you spam, if you're lucky it will relate to your interests, but for the most part, it really is pure junk.

At the moment, I'm trying to raise money to pay some bills, but its very difficult when I'm selling things, as I can't resist browsing shopping sites in between, and often end up buying on-line when I'm supposed to be selling! I'm sure I'm not the only one, after all, what womancan ignore the temptation for pretty new things?
